Terms of Service

Last updated: October 3, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Stationz.fm ("we," "our," or "us") about the Stationz.fm Chrome extension (the "Extension") and the stationz.fm website (together, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 17, you need the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you.

3. The Service

The Extension adds an AI radio DJ to the music you play on YouTube in Google Chrome. It runs in Chrome's side panel and on youtube.com. Its features include:

  • Spoken DJ intros between songs, with a choice of DJs, talk levels, tones and languages
  • Stations: YouTube playlists you save, resume and share, and stations made by Stationz.fm
  • Fact stickers over the video, and stories your DJ tells when you ask (Pro plans)
  • Optional date announcements and local weather updates (Pro plans)
  • A YouTube ad blocker and a volume booster
  • Flagging an intro that got something wrong, and sending us feedback

Stationz.fm is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

4. What You Need

  • A supported version of Google Chrome on a computer, and an internet connection
  • A Google or Apple account to sign in
  • Access to YouTube in your country

You are responsible for your own equipment, internet service and any third-party subscriptions.

5. Your Account

Your account is for you alone. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at info@stationz.fm if you think someone else has used it. You may not share your account, transfer it, or create several accounts to get around plan limits.

6. Plans, Billing and Refunds

6.1 Plans

  • Free: the free DJs, speaking English with the text-to-speech voices built into Chrome on your computer. Free narration has no monthly minute limit, but is subject to fair use (Section 6.4).
  • Pro and Pro Max: monthly subscriptions that add real AI DJ voices, narration in more languages, the YouTube ad blocker and more features. Each includes a monthly allowance of AI voice time, shown in the Extension as energy. Today Pro includes 120 minutes and Pro Max 400 minutes a month. Current prices and allowances are shown in the Extension and at checkout.
  • When your allowance runs out, the DJ keeps going with the free built-in voice until your next billing period. Unused minutes don't roll over. Music is never interrupted because of your plan.

6.2 Billing

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record, which may add taxes that apply in your country. They renew automatically every month until cancelled. When you upgrade from Pro to Pro Max, the change takes effect immediately and the price difference for the rest of the current period is charged pro rata. We may change prices for future billing periods after telling you in advance.

6.3 Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from Account › Manage subscription in the Extension. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you paid for. Refund requests can be sent to info@stationz.fm. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the law of your country.

6.4 Fair use

The Service is made for one person listening in real time. Narration is made only for songs that are actually playing or about to play. We may slow down, pause or limit narration, including free narration, for accounts that show automated or scripted use, that generate narration far beyond real-time listening, or that try to get around plan allowances. We will not reduce the allowance of a paid period you have already paid for, except in cases of abuse.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Extension, except where the law allows it
  • Get around security features, plan allowances or usage limits
  • Use bots, scripts or other automation to generate narration, fact stories or requests beyond what a person listening would
  • Collect, download or republish our narration, recordings, fact library or other content, for example to build another product or dataset
  • Interfere with the Service, its servers or other users
  • Send feedback, flags or other content that is abusive, unlawful, or infringes someone else's rights
  • Download, record or redistribute YouTube content through the Service

If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account without notice or refund.

8. Our Content and Your License

The Service, including its software, design, DJs, voices, narration, recordings, fact library, logos and trademarks, belongs to Stationz.fm or its licensors. As long as you follow these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your own non-commercial listening.

You may share links to stations (for example, stationz.fm/station/…) with anyone. All music is played by YouTube in your own browser. Stationz.fm does not host, stream, own or control any YouTube content.

9. What You Send Us

When you send feedback, screenshots or flags, you keep any rights you have in them, and you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use them to support you and to run, fix and improve the Service. Please don't include other people's personal information.

10. AI Narration and Facts

DJ intros, fact stickers and fact stories are written and voiced by AI. We work hard to keep them accurate: facts are drawn from public sources and checked automatically. Even so, AI can make mistakes, mix up songs or say something unexpected. Everything the DJ says is for entertainment. It doesn't reflect our views, and you shouldn't rely on it as fact without checking. If something is wrong, please flag it from the Extension so we can fix it.

Many song stories and facts are drawn from Wikipedia (text available under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license) and MusicBrainz, and are retold in our DJs' own words.

11. YouTube

You use YouTube under your own agreement with YouTube and are responsible for following YouTube's Terms of Service, including when you use the ad blocker. The Extension works only with YouTube pages open in your own browser and never downloads, records or redistributes YouTube content. YouTube can change its website at any time, which may stop some features from working for a while.

12. Ad Blocker

The Extension includes a YouTube ad blocker, available on the Pro and Pro Max plans and on by default for them. You can turn it off at any time in Account › Block YouTube ads. It works only inside your own browser, on YouTube pages. We don't promise that it blocks every ad or keeps working, since YouTube may change how it delivers ads. Whether you use it is your choice and your responsibility.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on services run by other companies, including:

  • YouTube and Google: music playback on YouTube, Chrome and its built-in voices, Google sign-in, and Google's AI models and cloud services
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple
  • Polar: payments and subscriptions
  • Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud: weather and place names, if you turn on weather updates

Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We aren't responsible for them, for their availability, or for websites we link to.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, THAT NARRATION OR FACTS WILL BE ACCURATE, THAT ANY MUSIC WILL BE AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL KEEP WORKING WITH YOUTUBE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STATIONZ.FM AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, ANY CONTENT IN THE SERVICE (INCLUDING AI NARRATION AND FACTS), UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA, ANY INTERRUPTION OF THE SERVICE, OR THE CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DON'T ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO SOME OF THEM MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Stationz.fm against claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or content you send us.

17. Ending the Agreement

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the Extension. To delete your account, email info@stationz.fm. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first from Account › Manage subscription to avoid further charges.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 and 18) survive the end of this agreement.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

18.1 Governing law

These Terms and any dispute about them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

18.2 Informal resolution first

Before starting a formal claim, please contact us at info@stationz.fm. We will try to resolve it with you informally within 30 days.

18.3 Courts

If we can't resolve it, the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.

Nothing in this section takes away mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of the country where you live, including the right to bring a claim in your own courts where that law gives you one.

19. General

  • Severability: if part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect, and that part is changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
  • Force majeure: we aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages or changes at YouTube, Google or our other providers.
  • Export and sanctions: you may not use the Service if doing so would break export control or sanctions laws that apply to you or to us.
  • Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If we don't enforce a right, we haven't waived it.
  • Assignment: you may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them, for example as part of a merger or sale.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, let you know in the Extension or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and you can ask us to delete your account.
